Rebekah Parker

Dr. Rebekah Parker loves being a veterinarian because animals have always been an important part of her life, and she wants to ensure that other families have their lives enriched by happy, healthy pets. Dr. Parker’s passions lie in preventive care and owner education. She loves all companion animals, but also has a special interest in exotic companion animal medicine.

Dr. Parker joined Westside Pet Hospital from the far off land of North Carolina. After receiving her undergraduate degree in wildlife rehabilitation from Lees-McRae College, Dr. Parker received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from North Carolina State University. While at NC State, she was involved in many organizations such as the Veterinary Business Management Association, Turtle Rescue Team, Wild Carnivore Team and the wildlife/exotics club. Upon graduating in 2019 she began working as an associate veterinarian at a small and exotic animal hospital in Rutherford College, NC.

When Dr. Parker isn’t treating her patients, she can be found spending time with her husband and two dogs, Joey (corgi mix) and Yeti (red heeler). She enjoys outdoor recreation activities such as hiking, biking, kayaking and rock climbing but she can also be found curled up with a good book
